What are the objectives of the
International Customer Service Paper and Project (ICSP)
Awards?
The Awards are organized
- to serve a platform for building, sharing and
disseminating knowledge about customer service
- to promote professionalism in customer service
industry
- to arouse interests in research about customer
service
- to encourage corporations to further invest on
people development for managing and improving their customer service
operations systematically and effectively
What are the differences between the Customer Service Paper Award
and Customer Service Project Award?
The main difference resides in the natures of
paper and project, paper is expected to be more research oriented
than project. While postgraduate students studying Business Studies,
Marketing, Industrial Engineering and Psychology will be invited to
submit paper, Business Executives from the commercial sectors and
industries will be invited to submit project.
Who will be reviewing the paper and
projects?
The paper and projects will be reviewed by
APCSC’s Instructor Team, CSQS Committee and subject experts.
Who will present the ICSP Awards?
The ICSP Awards will be presented by APCSC’s
Chairman. Special guests and subject experts may also be invited to
compliment the presentations.
When and where will the Awards be presented?
The Awards will be presented during the
International CRM, CIS & Service Symposium which is scheduled in
July, 2007, Hong Kong. The specific hotel venue for the Symposium
will be announced at least one month before the event. Please

Can I submit both paper and project?
Yes, you are most welcomed to do so.
Can I choose any topic I like?
You can write on any topic relating to
customer service, though participants who are going to submit
project are strongly recommended to follow the requirement of the
project for Certificate in Customer Service Management (CCSM) or
Certified Call Center Manager (CCCM) which will be given to
participants upon request afterwards.
What do I have to do if
I wish to participate in the awards?
You will be required to submit an executive
summary of your project and/or an abstract of your paper. If your
abstract and/or executive summary are selected, you will be asked to
submit a full paper/project. Participants who write high quality
paper/project will be accepted to make a presentation on their paper
and project during the International CRM, CIS & Service Symposium
which will be held in July 2007, Hong Kong.
What format should I use when preparing the paper and
project?
While paper/project should
be written with MS Word, the presentation of your /paper should be
delivered in person with presentation PowerPoint or Slides. Both
should be submitted together once accepted.
Are there any word limits?
For paper/project, the abstract/executive
summary should be around 500 words and the full paper /project
should be less than 5000 words, and the presentation slides should
be around 20 slides.
Is it a must to attend APCSC’s Global Certification Programs if I
wish to participate in the Awards?
No, but joining the programs would definitely
be useful because through these programs you will gain more
professional knowledge about customer service, learn the best
practices and latest development in the field.
Do I have to pay any fees for participating in the Awards?
Yes and no, you will be required to pay for
registration fee only if you are accepted to make a presentation on
your paper/project during the International CRM, CIS & Service
Symposium. Postgraduate students will be offered a student 50%
registration discount if they can provide a copy of valid student ID
card.
Once registered for the international CRM,
CIS & Service Symposium, if I decide not to participate, will I get
a refund?
We are sorry; we cannot offer a refund once
you have registered.
